It is one of the six Malefics accodring  to traditional Astrology, and one of the three positive or electric Planets.

This symbol has been 'adopted' as a symbol of the male figure. However it has nothing as such, to do with any interpretation in traditional Astrology.

The Healing Patterns Of Mars :

When I consider the influence of Mars during my Spiritual   Healing work for a Patient, I consider its Aspects of              CONJUNCTION, SQUARE, and OPPOSITION  the SUN, the MOON and  MARS.

Mars causes sickness by the focusing the Mind of the "I WANT" principles and through this causing frustration, stress of the Mind, and strain upon the stomach, thyroids and adrenals. Healing is brought through lifting the focus energies out of "wanting" and achieving the focus energies of "all is right".
