The Zodiac - An Imaginary Band The Zodiac is an "imaginary" band which lies positioned around the earth and is formed from the constellations of the Zodiac. It is NOT directly above the Equator and it has a 'centre line'. The Centre line of that "band'" is a line referred to as the "Ecliptic", which swings slightly North and slightly South, of the Earth's Equator . . . It is along this line, that the Sun's path moves, giving us the Winter and Summer months. The two points where the Ecliptic crosses the Equator, we refer to as the Vernal Equinox. One, the Summer Equinox, and the other the Winter Equinox. As the Sun passes along the Ecliptic, it spends approximately 12 months in each of the Zodiac "Signs". The 12 "Signs" are the Divisions Of The Zodiac, they describe the entire cycle of human personal experience, the types of personalities characteristic to different people, the Ages Of Man (Individual and Mankind) and individually establish behaviour, moods, characteristics as the very foundation of all Astrology. The Zodiac and its Signs, are a basis part of the foundation of what Astrology is all about, but cannot stand alone in providing all answers and all understanding. The Zodiac presents therefore a pictorial history of the whole Universe and thus the diagram of each Man Individual is a synthetic of that Universe Itself. Thus where Astrology attributes a certain 'influence' and 'character' to each Zodiac Sign, it reveals the synthetic influence on the mental, physical, and spiritual constitution of Man Individual, based upon Rulings determined as being the point at which the birth of the Individual occurred. This is the Point Of Perception, and the Zodiac forms the "Windows To" Perception. Perception is what in Astrological Terms equates to perceiving of the Truth, by way of the Nativity of any Individual, event, or occasion. Any of which occur at a given time, location and date. There is a general misconception that the Zodiac "Signs" relate to the constellation in which they may be found. They do NOT. In fact for the most part, these constellations might be found in a different part of the sky to where they were thousands of years ago. Most of the constellations, are in fact in succeeding signs now to the true basis of Astrology. For example, Hindu Astrology follows the constellations, not the Signs. This is why you will find that you need to use the computer generated Tropical Zodiac to gain adjustment to the actual location of the Signs. |

The Moon's Nodes The Moon has two `nodal points' which Astrologers accord as having potential Forces similar to the Planets. There is a `North Nodal Point' and a `South Nodal point'. They are the points at which the Moon's monthly path crosses the annual elliptical path of the Sun around the Earth. They are abstract points. However they are considered to measure, and to contain, the reference data of the Soul, its very self an abstract point. These Nodes, as is the Soul, are considered to be inseparable, each has a separate meaning, a dividing of the Forces of the Soul, while each sharing a single principal. They tell of past life events, as well as past events of the present life. |

Chiron : Chiron, the Wounded Healer, represents our emotional and physical wounds. It reveals a part of us that is hurt, small and vulnerable. We are encouraged to heal our wounds, and then look beyond personal realms, to see the suffering of others, and to become teachers and healers. |
|
URANUS, NEPTUNE and PLUTO Are referred to as `generation' planets, for their effect in any Zodiac Sign is a generation or so. They effect there-fore, generation attitudes and only have importance in the individual Natal Chart to reveal how one is attuned to the Forces within his or her `generation' and how attuned they are to the Forces Themselves from within themselves. |

Astrology cannot function without the Metaphysics of the Zodiac. Hercules may have been renamed St George, both might have evolved out of Kristna; Capricorn may have become re-depicted as a four legged goat; but what has never changed since the Elo-Masters placed them there are the exact Star Patterns, their formations, and their Metaphysical Truth. Placed out of the reach of the hand of MAN, where MAN cannot destroy them nor alter them, the Star Patterns are a Road Map for the SOUL and History for intelligence. |
